As the largest nonprofit agency serving Atlanta’s Jewish community, the Marcus JCC has symbolic value and must be protected against those who might wish to do the community harm. The Zaban Park Campus is particularly vulnerable because it hosts hundreds of community events each year, bringing in thought leaders, politicians, and other public figures. These programs are open to the public and may attract many thousands of visitors to the facility in a single day. The Marcus JCC has made a significant investment in security; however, we have identified cutting-edge ways to increase security as antisemitism continues to rise. Our plans include implementing high-tech security enhancements immediately upon funding.
